Volume 504: debated on Friday 29 January 2010

Development on Flood Plains (environment agency powers) bill

Motion made, That the Bill be now read a Second time.

On a point of order, Mr. Deputy Speaker. I would be grateful for your advice. Would it be in the democratic interest for it to be on the record that the objection came from the Conservative Benches?

The hon. Gentleman should be clear about what he is saying before putting it on the record. In any event, it is not a point of order for the Chair. He knows Friday procedure as well as I do.

Further to that point of order, Mr. Deputy Speaker. I wish to clarify that the objection came not from the Conservative Benches, but from the Government Benches.

I hope that we have now cleared that point up.

Co-operative and community benefit societies and credit unions Bill [lords]
