To ask the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government pursuant to the answer to the written ministerial statement of 27 January 2010, Official Report, columns 54-6WS, on planning, what estimate has been made of the increase in the number of planning applications likely to result from the proposed changes. An estimate of the increase in the number of planning applications as a result of the proposed changes will be set out in the final impact assessment which is being produced in association with the implementing legislation.
