Apprentices: Salford

To ask the Minister of State, Department for Business, Innovation and Skills how many modern apprenticeships were started in Salford in (a) 1997 and (b) 2008-09. (317383)

Table 1 shows the number of apprenticeship starts in Salford parliamentary constituency, Eccles parliamentary constituency, Worsley parliamentary constituency and Salford local authority from academic year 2003/04 onwards, the earliest year for which comparable data are available. Salford is made up of Salford and Eccles parliamentary constituencies and part of Worsley parliamentary constituency.
