To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many people were convicted of (a) entering the UK in breach of a deportation order or without leave, (b) remaining in the UK after leave to enter or remain had expired, (c) assaulting an immigration officer and (d) trafficking people for exploitation in each year since 1998; and how many offenders in each category received the maximum available prison sentence or fine in each year.
