Housing Benefit: Greater London

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions what the average housing benefit paid to (a) local authority tenants, (b) housing association tenants and (c) private sector tenants was in each London borough in the latest period for which figures are available; and what the average rent level was in each of the three sectors in that period. 7. SHBE is a monthly electronic scan of claimant level data direct from local authority computer systems. It replaces quarterly aggregate clerical returns. The data are available monthly from November 2008 and October 2009 is the most recent available.
