Departmental Lost Property

Volume 507: debated on Tuesday 16 March 2010

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what property has been recorded as (a) lost and (b) stolen from his Department in the last 12 months; and what estimate has been made of the cost of the replacement of that property. (322081)

During the 12-month period from March 2009 to February 2010 the Northern Ireland Office (NIO), including its arm’s length bodies and the Public Prosecution Service Northern Ireland but excluding its agencies and NDPBs, recorded 12 floppy disks as being lost in transit between Belfast and London. They did not contain any personal or classified information. As the disks were not replaced there was no cost of replacement to the Department.

No items of departmental property were reported as stolen during this period.
