The Intelligence and Security Committee (ISC) 2005 report, "The Handling of Detainees by UK Intelligence Personnel in Afghanistan, Guantanamo Bay and Iraq" sets out the actions taken by UK officials and Ministers in response to concerns about the treatment of detainees in US custody. The report shows representations were made to the US authorities from June 2002. Most of the specific incidents described in the Committee's Report were followed up with the US authorities, either in theatre or through intelligence and diplomatic channels, including at ministerial level.
