To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs how much was paid in reimbursable expenses to special advisers in his Department in each of the last five years. (320480)

For 2005-07, I refer the hon. Member to the reply given by my hon. Friend the Member for Lincoln (Gillian Merron) to the hon. Member for Fareham (Mr. Hoban) on 9 July 2008, Official Report, column 1657W.

Officials have reviewed these figures and have established that the answer was incorrect.

Our current records show that the Foreign and Commonwealth Office paid the following amounts to special advisers in reimbursable expenses for the financial calendar years 2005 to 2010.
