acquainted the House, that the Clerk of the Parliaments had laid upon the Table the Certificate from the Examiners that the further Standing Orders applicable to the following Bill have been complied with:

Scarborough Gas.

The same was ordered to lie on the Table.

The CHAIRMAN OF COMMITTEES informed the House that the Promoters do not intend to proceed further witch the Bill: Ordered that the Bill be not further proceeded with.

Gas Undertakings (Powers Of Investment)

Message from the Commons to acquaint this House that they have appointed a Committee of five members to join with the Committee appointed by this House, as mentioned in their Lordships' Message of Tuesday last, to consider the interim recommendations, dated the. 22nd March, 1932, of the Gas Legislation Committee appointed by the Board of Trade, and generally the extent to which gas undertakers should be authorised to invest funds in other undertakings, and to report accordingly.
