6.22 p.m.

My Lords, with your Lordships' permission, I should like to intervene to make a statement about Business to-morrow. Owing to the number of Amendments for debate in Committee on the Opencast Coal Bill to-morrow, and to meet the convenience of noble Lords opposite, who are unable to sit late to-morrow, it has been agreed that the House should sit on after the luncheon adjournment, without again adjourning at 3.45 p.m., until the conclusion of the Committee stage, which is expected about 6.0 p.m. Any Amendments which have not been dealt with by that time will be postponed until the Report stage.
