Unpaid Appointments By Ministers

asked Her Majesty's Government:Whether they will publish a list of bodies, both official and unofficial, to which Ministers of Her Majesty's Government have the right to make unpaid appointments, and indicate for each body the number of such appointments involved and the Minister who has the right of appointment.

Information about paid (and some unpaid) appointments is given in A Directory of Paid Public Appointments Made by Ministers. Comprehensive information about unpaid appointments in the form requested by the noble Lord is not at present held centrally and could not be collected, collated and published without incurring disproportionate cost to public funds.
