My Lords, with the leave of the House, may I ask the noble Lord the Leader of the House whether he will express the congratu- lations of your Lordships to Princess Anne and Captain Phillips on the birth of their son?

My Lords, I am sure that the House will be happy to know that the Prime Minister conveyed a formal message to Princess Anne on behalf of the Government. I am sure, too, that the House will be pleased to know that, as Leader of the House, I have sent a message on behalf of the House to Princess Anne expressing our congratulations on the birth of her child.

My Lords, we on these Benches would like to be associated with those sentiments.
