140 Schedule 4, page 73, line 13, after 'but' insert 'any'.

141 Schedule 4, page 74, line 6, leave out subsection (4) and insert—

'(4) Where there is a hearing under this section the accused (or all the accused as the case may be) shall attend it:
Provided that if the court so permits the hearing may proceed notwithstanding his (or their) absence.'.

My Lords, I beg to move that this House doth agree with the Commons in their Amendments Nos. 140 and 141. These are both purely drafting amendments.
