My Lords, I beg to ask Her Majesty's Government a Question of which I have given Private Notice. The Question is as follows:
To ask Her Majesty's Government whether they will make a Statement on the unilateral declaration of independence by the Turkish community in Cyprus.

My Lords, with the leave of the House, my noble friend Lord Lyell will answer this Question in the way of a Statement at a convenient moment after 3.30 this afternoon.
