asked Her Majesty's Government:Following a reply by the Secretary of State for the Environment to a question asked in the House of Commons concerning the statement by Dudley Council, "that it could save 33 per cent. of staff currently engaged in the Midland County Council on services which would be transferred to Dudley" (

Official Report, Commons, 23rd November 1983; col. 304), whether they will or have obtained a detailed breakdown of how these savings will be achieved, and whether they will place a copy in the Library.

I am arranging for copies of a detailed table of staff savings provided by Dudley Borough Council to be placed in the Library.
