asked Her Majesty's Government:What is the current rate of pay in London for a nurse and a staff nurse respectively, on entry to the grade, after five years and at the maximum of the scale.

Information is not available in the form requested. There are two levels of registration which apply to most nurses; those who qualify on the second part of the register are paid as Enrolled Nurses and those who qualify on the first part of the register are paid as Staff Nurses. Current annual rates of pay in London, including an estimate for average additions to basic pay for working unsocial hours and overtime etc., are given in the table.
