asked Her Majesty's Government:Whether, in respect of the United Kingdom's balance of payments with other members of the European Community taken

en bloc, they will publish an analysis of exports and imports by commodity in the same form and detail and for the same periods as set out in Tables 8 and 12 of the DTI Press Notice No. 142 of 29th February 1988.

Seasonally-adjusted figures are not available for area-commodity analyses. Direct comparisons with figures given in the press notice should be treated with caution, particularly for those commodities that have definite seasonal patterns; for example, food.The available information is given in the tables:
