My Lords, before the commencement of business, I take the opportunity to inform the House that I am to attend the Opening Ceremonies of the Scottish Parliament on Thursday 1st July and I am to address the Worldwide Conference of Common Law Judges in Edinburgh on 5th July, when the House will sit. Accordingly, I trust the House will grant me leave of absence.
