The number of police and civilian fatalities and serious injuries arising from police responses to immediate/emergency calls and pursuits in 2003–04 is given in the table. Details on the number of fatalities and injuries involving police vehicles engaged in activities other than immediate/ emergency response or pursuit are not available centrally.
