Whether they have plans to define further and develop policing targets relating to the trade, distribution and use of illegal drugs beyond those referred to in the National Policing Plan 2005-08.[HL6585]

Work is ongoing to refine and develop the performance management framework for crime, drugs and policing. Part of this work will consider whether new or revised performance indicators relating to the trade, distribution and use of illegal drugs are needed and, if so, what if any targets should be set. The Home Office is progressing this work in consultation with partners including the Association of Chief Police Officers and Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary.
