Animal Welfare: Sanctuaries

asked Her Majesty’s Government:

Further to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs’s briefing note on animal sanctuaries, whether the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals investigations into complaints in 2004 about animal sanctuaries were found to be justified; how many of those complaints merited prosecution; and how many of those complaints were found to be due to ignorance and how many to cruelty.
