Pensions: Failed Company Schemes

Volume 685: debated on Monday 9 October 2006

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether, bearing in mind the views expressed in Parliament and outside, they will reconsider the rejection of the findings of the Parliamentary Commissioner for Administration on compensation for the victims of failed company pension schemes.[HL7287]

The Government published their response to the ombudsman's report in June 2006. Since then they have taken note of various views expressed on this issue, including the report of the Public Administration Select Committee. We will be responding to that report in due course.
