I refer the noble Lord to the letter written by my right honourable friend the Deputy Prime Minister to the honourable Member for East Devon (Hugo Swire) on Tuesday 4 July 2006, a copy of which is appended to the memorandum from the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards to the Standards and Privileges Committee. The memorandum is available in the 13th report of the Standards and Privileges Committee which is available in the Library for the reference of noble Lords.
