asked Her Majesty’s Government:

What consideration they have given to the possible introduction of an Ulster-Scots Language Bill. [HL875]

While no specific consideration has been given to the introduction of an Ulster-Scots Language Bill, the Government have placed a duty on the Executive Committee of a devolved Government, as stated in paragraph 15(2) of the Northern Ireland (St Andrews Agreement) Act 2006, that states:

“The Executive Committee shall adopt a strategy setting out how it proposes to enhance and develop the Ulster Scots language, heritage and culture”.
