Whether they will indicate the date when they will sign up in its entirety to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. [HL1286]

The Government signed the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child on 19 April 1990. Subsequently—on 7 September 2000—the Government signed the Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the sale of children, child prostitution and child pornography and the Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the involvement of children in armed conflict.
