Aviation: Frequent Fliers

Volume 688: debated on Monday 22 January 2007

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they have given any consideration to enabling frequent fliers to obtain security clearance in advance in order to accelerate security procedures at airports. [HL1231]

No. It is a cornerstone of aviation security that passengers, flight crew and ground staff, and the items they are carrying, are subjected to security screening on each and every occasion they move from landside to airside at an airport.
