asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether the proposed introduction of an Irish Language Bill will fulfil the Belfast agreement commitment to parity of esteem and equality between the Irish language and that of Ulster-Scots. [HL1342]

I refer the noble Lord to the Answer given on 8 November 2006 (WA 201) outlining the Government's current commitment to Ulster-Scots in accordance with the Belfast agreement.
