asked Her Majesty's Government:
Whether they have made an assessment of the level of non-statutory funding already raised for Rowallane Integrated College in Northern Ireland; and when they expect that the college will become a full part of the state education system. [HL2847]
Rowallane Integrated College operates as an independent school and as such does not receive funding from the Department of Education. The department does not have an assessment of the level of funding for the school. A development proposal for the school to become a grant-maintained school was published for consultation in September 2006 and turned down in January this year. All proposals are considered carefully on their merits.
