Further to the Written Answers by Lord Davies of Oldham on 20 March (WA 183), whether the net imbalance of United Kingdom official transactions with the European Union, taking the average over the calendar years 2003, 2004 and 2005, was in excess of £3 billion per year. [HL3271]

The average net contribution over this period was £3.4 billion.
