asked Her Majesty's Government:

What action they are taking to ensure that doctors appointed by primary care trusts as general practitioners with a special interest in dermatology have the necessary training and qualifications to carry out the role. [HL3333]

Addressing the training needs of health professionals’ working is the responsibility of the appropriate regulatory bodies. They set standards for the pre-registration training of doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals, approve the education institutions that provide the training and determine the curricula.
