My right honourable friend the Secretary of State for Wales has made the following Written Ministerial Statement.

I am pleased to inform the House that the proposed draft National Assembly for Wales (Legislative Competence) Order in the field of social welfare has been laid today, as Command Paper (7286). Copies can be found in the Printed Paper Office and Library from 12 noon. I have written to the Constitutional Affairs Committee to request that it undertakes pre-legislative scrutiny.
