Whether, in view of the announcement by the Prime Minister in Kampala that £50 million will be made available for scholarships to students from developing countries, they will confirm that the Foreign and Commonwealth Office will maintain its support for Commonwealth scholarships for students from those countries that are ineligible for assistance from the Department for International Development. I am pleased to inform the noble Lord that we will maintain our commitment to the Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan in 2008-09 at £2.05 million, the same amount as this year.
