asked Her Majesty's Government:

What role the Police Service of Northern Ireland has in the provision of drivers for Ministers of the Northern Ireland Executive; and whether drivers are supplied by another source. [HL756]

Lord Rooker

The PSNI provides protection for those Ministers of the Northern Ireland Executive that qualify for armed police close protection. The provision of drivers for other Ministers is the responsibility of the Northern Ireland Executive.
