Animal Welfare: Cruelty

Volume 697: debated on Wednesday 16 January 2008

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they have any plans to review the role of the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in initiating prosecutions for animal cruelty. [HL1140]

I do not consider that there is any reason for reviewing the role of the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in initiating proceedings for offences under the Animal Welfare Act 2006.
