asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether any projects in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office have been suspended or delayed due to concerns about identity security; if so, which projects have been delayed; and what the impact on the overall performance and work of the Office will be. [HL1568]

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) has needed to make a careful examination of a wide range of business processes involving personal data and this has involved a substantial commitment of staff resource. To date, there have been no significant delays to any projects, nor is any long-term impact on the work of the FCO anticipated.
