My honourable friend the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Work and Pensions (James Plaskitt) has made the following Statement.

The 96th session of the International Labour Conference 2007 adopted a new Convention 188 and Recommendation 199 on work in the fishing sector. I have today published a White Paper entitled International Labour Conference—Proposed Action on a Convention and Recommendations Adopted at the 96th Session of the International Labour Conference 2007, copies of which are available in the Vote Office and the Printed Paper Office.
