To ask Her Majesty's Government what proportion of senior Civil Service staff of the Home Office, UK Border Agency and the panels which advise them are Muslims. [HL1751]

The proportion of senior Civil Service staff in the Home Office and its agencies who have declared their religion as Muslim is around 2.5 per cent. Staff in the Home Office and its agencies have an option in our system not to give their religion when they are providing us with personal data.
