To ask Her Majesty's Government what assessment they have made of the protection afforded by the Vector vehicle to United Kingdom troops serving in Afghanistan. [HL2447]

The Vector light protected patrol vehicle is used in a variety of roles in theatre and has been subject to detailed technical assessment. I cannot comment on the levels of protection afforded by the vehicle, as disclosure would or would be likely to prejudice the capability, effectiveness or security of the Armed Forces.
