My right honourable friend the Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice (Jack Straw) has made the following Written Ministerial Statement.

I should like to inform the House that I have made the following appointment under Schedule 1 to the Parliamentary Constituencies Act 1986:

the honourable Mr Justice Sales appointed as deputy chair of the Boundary Commission for England, effective from 1 June 2009 until 31 May 2012.
