To ask Her Majesty's Government what was the total revenue received by the Exchequer from the sale of alcoholic drink in 2008. [HL4064]

Total alcohol duty received by the Exchequer in 2008 was £8,689 million and is published in the National Statistics Beer and Cider bulletin available at www.uktradeinfo.com/index.cfm?task= bullbeer. The revenue from other taxes from the sale of alcoholic drink is not available.
