To ask Her Majesty's Government further to the Answer by Lord Tunnicliffe on 9 June (Official Report, House of Lords, cols. 519–21), what will be the cost to farmers of buying an electronic tag reader for sheep. [HL4251]

Farmers will not be required to buy an electronic reader; they can record individual information using a pen and paper. However, should they choose to do so, prices begin at around £400.
