My right honourable friend the Minister of State (Michael Wills) has made the following Written Ministerial Statement.

Today I have deposited copies of The Freedom of Information Act 2000—Fourth Annual Report on the Operation of the Freedom of Information Act in Central Government—2008 in the Libraries of both Houses. Copies are also available in the Vote Office and the Printed Paper Office and are available on the internet at www.justice.gov.uk/publications/freedomofinformationquarterly.htm.

This is the fourth annual report analysing the performance of central government in the fourth full year since the commencement of the Freedom of Information Act.

Today I have also deposited copies of The Freedom of Information Act 2000—Statistics on Implementation in Central Government: Q1—January-March 2009 in the Libraries of both Houses. Copies are also available in the Vote Office and the Printed Paper Office.

This is the quarterly monitoring statistics report analysing the performance of central government in the fifth full year of freedom of information.
