To ask Her Majesty's Government what are the estimated costs of the Chilcot Inquiry into Iraq; and what is the basis of calculation of the costs. [HL5466]

It is too soon to know the full costs of the Iraq inquiry, though we anticipate that these will be comparable with previous similar inquiries. The final costs will be published in due course.
