To ask Her Majesty's Government what proportion of Sport England's combined Lottery and Exchequer funding went to local authorities in each year since 1997. [HL479]

To ask Her Majesty's Government how much financial support was provided to local authorities for sports provision by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport for each of the years 1997 to 2008. [HL481]

Exchequer Funding

Sport England is unable to provide a breakdown of past Exchequer funding to local authorities because of the way the data historically have been captured. Sport England has changed the data capture process this year and a figure for 2009-10 will be available after the end of the financial year.
