To ask Her Majesty's Government what guidance they offer civil servants about communicating with members of the public on matters of public policy which the civil servant is responsible for. [HL1696]

All civil servants are required to carry out their duties in accordance with the Civil Service Code which sets out the core values and standards of behaviour expected of civil servants. Copies are available in the Libraries of the House.
