To ask Her Majesty's Government whether they will follow the recommendation of the House of Commons Transport Committee to transfer responsibilities for the inland waterways to the Department for Transport (Sixth Special Report, Session 2007–08). [HL2109]

The Government responded to this recommendation from the Transport Committee on 17 September 2008. Their position has not changed.
