To ask Her Majesty's Government further to the Written Answer by the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at the Ministry of Defence, Kevan Jones, on 8 December 2009 (Official Report, Commons, col. 202W), what steps are being taken by the Ministry of Defence to improve energy efficiency at forward operations bases in Afghanistan. The work outlined in the comprehensive response given by the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Ministry of Defence, on 8 December 2009 (Official Report, col. 201W) in another place to the honourable Member Commons for Bexhill and Battle (Gregory Barker), is continuing. This includes considering a number of options and proposals that could improve the energy efficiency of forward operating bases in Afghanistan. This work is at an early stage.
