To ask Her Majesty's Government in the context of their publication of The Future of Rail Franchising, whether they will revise their plans to let the East Coast Main Line franchise in 2011. [HL2546]

The Government plan to incorporate the recommendations from their review of rail franchising into the new intercity east coast franchise within the timescale for letting of that franchise in 2011.
