To ask Her Majesty's Government how many students at state-funded secondary schools in 2009 were entered for A-Levels in (a) English, (b) mathematics, (c) physics, (d) chemistry, and (e) biology. [HL2208]

The total number of entries for 16 to 18 year-olds1 in maintained schools2 in 2009 are shown in the table below.
