To ask Her Majesty's Government what was the average purchase price, excluding value added tax, of a 500-sheet ream of white A4 80 gsm photocopier paper paid by the Independent Safeguarding Authority in the latest period for which figures are available; and how much it spent in total on all photocopier paper in the last year for which figures are available. [HL2355]

The Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA) is a non-departmental public body belonging to the Home Office, which it has done so since its creation. The Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) does not provide any support to the ISA for the purchasing of paper on their behalf.

The total spend for photocopying paper purchase by DCSF for the period 1 January to 31 December 2009 was £22,108.16

The data has been provided by the department's supplier for stationery, Banner Business.
